Equity Sales Trader

Context

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Equity Sales Trader to join our institutional brokerage team in Brussels. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between institutional clients and the equity markets, delivering high-quality execution and market insight. You will work closely with trading, sales, research, and corporate access teams to provide a seamless and value-added service to our clients.

Your position

• Execute equity trades on behalf of institutional clients with precision and discretion.
• Provide clients with best execution, actively search for liquidity, and source block trades across global markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Provide market color, trading ideas, and timely updates to clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure optimal client service and execution quality.
• Monitor market trends and developments to identify trading opportunities.
• Contribute to business development efforts and client acquisition strategies.

Your profile

• Master’s degree in Finance or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in equity brokerage (sales trading, trading, or sales).
• Deep understanding of equity and capital markets, market structure, and trading dynamics.
• Mastery of trading technologies, order and execution management systems (OMS & EMS), and market connectivity.
• Proficient Bloomberg user with strong command of trading and analytics functions.
• Well-connected within the institutional investment community.
• Demonstrated ability to build and monetize client relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Self-starter with strong business development capabilities.
• Team-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Fluent in English, Dutch and/or French.
• Coding skills (Anaconda) is a plus.
• Solid interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence in client and team interactions.
