Initiatives that transform how people experience art, that bring culture to a broader audience or allow young artists to get their foot in the door. Our partnerships in the arts bring together the knowledge and expertise of artists and collectors to shine a new light on the culture that binds us.
Why we are into art
We are a private bank that takes a holistic approach. Although our expertise is primarily focused on asset management, we recognize the importance of preserving cultural and artistic patrimony.
To guard a trace of our history, but also to guard its transmission to future generations. As guardian of our clients' patrimony, art is essential to us.

Degroof Petercam and the Belgian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale
At the prestigious Venice Biennale 2024, the Petticoat Government collective has orchestrated a remarkable transhumance of folkloric giants from diverse communities and cultures in Belgium, France, and Spain.
These giants completed their cross-border journey in Venice, taking center stage at the Belgian pavilion. Degroof Petercam is delighted to be a proud partner of this pavilion.
About the Belgian Pavilion
The Belgian pavilion, the first foreign pavilion established at the Giardini in 1907, was designed by architect Léon Sneyers in an art nouveau style inspired by Josef Hoffmann and Viennese architecture. In 1948, Venetian architect Virgillio Vallot directed a complete restoration, giving the pavilion its distinct modernist look that includes the iconic concave entrance adorned with a shield and the national motto.
The Venice Biennale is undoubtedly the most important international exhibition of contemporary art. With over ninety countries represented, it is a unique meeting place and a window on the world.

Our partnership with the Belgian Pavilion allows us to support Belgian creativity in contemporary art. It also provides us with the opportunity for enriching exchanges with artists, collectors, art enthusiasts, and our colleagues. After Venice, the Petticoat Government's project will move to BPS22 in Charleroi, reaching an even larger audience.
