Global Markets - Internship Sell-Side Equity Research - Lifesciences/Healthcare

Context

We are looking for motivated young graduate or Master’s student eager to join our sell-side Equity Research team of Degroof Petercam for a 3 to 6 months internship. As a Junior Analyst in Equity Research, you will:
•    Join an experienced team of >12 analysts specialized in listed sectors such as Industrials, Consumer, Real Estate, Life Sciences, Investment companies, …; 
•    Gain experience by actively participating in the day-to-day operations but also in large projects such as initiation of coverage ; 
•    Participate in meetings with management and clients 

Your position

•    Supporting the Equity Research team in their daily operations: daily news flow, Excel model building, assist lead analyst for in-depth reports, …
•    Main focus will be on Life Science companies
•    Working together with the lead-analyst on initiating reports of (sponsored) research (market research, model building, report writing, pitch/meeting with clients)
•    Special situations: support to specific projects such as Corporate Finance
•    Cross-sector support: example of themes-research
•    Helping on the implementation of ESG in our research framework during set-up
•    Assisting in automation of production flow by increased usage of available AI-tools

Your profile

•    You have an outstanding academic background, preferably with (or currently enrolled in) a master degree in business or finance combined with healthcare-related degree/experience obtained through previous internship(s)/job(s) at healthcare/biopharma corporates, consulting/financial advisory/investment firms or, vice versa, someone with a bio-related (biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, bioengineering, medicine) degree complemented with finance degree/experience.

•    You have strong analytical and numerical skills  
•    You are passionate about Financial Markets. Interest for subsectors, such as the real estate , Life Sciences or Investment companies could be  a plus
•    You are results-driven with a hands-on approach
•    You are able to work independently but you also enjoy working in a team setting
•    You are fluent in English as well as Dutch and/or French. Good knowledge of the three languages is a plus.
