Business & Data Analyst

Context

The GM Tech Division is part of Bank Degroof Petercam’s Investment Banking / Global Markets department. 

Its activities consist mainly in:

• Project management and business analysis for strategic, regulatory or Life Cycle Management projects.
• Deliver strategic and tactical improvements (systems and processes).
• Data Science serving Global Markets and BDP: 
  o    Provide insights, predictions and analysis for better business decisions;
  o    Increase automation and simplify processes;
  o    Build a strong bridge with Chief Data Officer;
  o    Reporting solutions to monitor performance.
• Strengthen the cooperation with IT: clarify the “What” and challenge the “How”
• Active participation in system architecture discussions
• Deliver scalable and innovative solutions to remove dependency on End User Computing

Your position

As a member of the GM Tech team, you will:

• Develop creative solutions to support the monitoring and reporting of GM activities.
• Coordinate change requests on behalf of Global Markets
• Gather, analyze and clarify business requirements.
• Support GM in its regulatory and compliance obligations (ex. BCP, BIA, Critical Outsourcing assessments, user access review, etc.)
• Identify improvement areas (technology and processes).
• Actively participate to projects

Your profile

• You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, Finance or equivalent, with 3/5 years working experience.
• You are passionate about technology and data with extended knowledge of Python (Django, AirFlow, DBT, ..) and SQL.
• You are familiar or are attracted by the Financial Markets world.
• You are curious and you learn fast.
• You have strong analytical skills with an eye for details.
• You are a creative problem solver, you take ownership.
• Very good verbal and written skills in English and in the 2nd national language.
• You have excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• You are a real team player who can work in an autonomous way.
