Business Analyst Private Markets

Context

The Digital Program Management department within Degroof Petercam Asset Management, is looking for a Business Analyst for Private Markets whose role is essential in bridging the gap between business needs and technology delivery. You will play a key role in shaping future-proof processes, streamlining operations, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders during a period of exciting change.

The IT Landscape of our Private Markets will give you the opportunity to work on international projects that will benefit our teams in all our localizations in Europe and Asia, while working on projects delivered by both internal IT and external state-of-the-art Private Markets IT software vendors such as eFront (part of Blackrock). As such, frequent travel is to be expected, especially to Luxembourg, Paris and Geneva.
 

Your position

• Gather, document, and validate business requirements through workshops, interviews, and analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation
• Act as a liaison between business and IT, ensuring communication flows and mutual understanding
• Support user acceptance testing and assist in change management and adoption efforts
• Track and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to project stakeholders
• Contribute to documentation, training, and knowledge transfer initiatives 
• Map and optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance client experience
• Conduct regular reviews of existing process workflows to identify opportunities for optimization
• Propose changes to improve efficiency, measure and reduce costs, and enhance overall performance in the Private Markets business

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred, ideally in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or IT
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within Asset Management or Financial Services
• Frequent travel to Luxemburg, Paris and Geneva
• Proven experience in process management, process mapping, and optimization
• Strong background in requirements gathering, functional analysis, and writing specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address inefficiencies in processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory); knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, BPMN tools, or similar
• Ability to work with direct and matrix hierarchical lines
• Knowledge of the Private Markets asset class and its ecosystem is another strong advantage
