Context

Join our dynamic Client Center team and take the helm of the Investment Care, PFS, Digital and Middle Office team, overseeing the needs of and strategy for our valued 'mass affluent' and 'execution-only' clients. As a leader, you will guide a team of over 15 dynamic colleagues, thrive the team dynamics in a fast-changing environment while ensuring top-notch client service aligned with our team and Degroof Petercam's core values.

You will report directly to the Head of Private Banking Risk & Control and Client Center.
 

Your position

Leadership and Team Management 

  • You play an essential role in the definition of the Mass Affluent strategy in close collaboration with the DPnxt and digital teams
  • You are responsible for the day-to-day management and effective servicing of the 'mass affluent' & 'execution only' client segment in Private Banking
  • You lead, coach and manage a team of >15 relationship managers in the Investment Care Segment, Digital Care Officers and Middle Officers 
  • You communicate and deploy the Private Banking Strategy for the Client Segment within the team and define the objectives with/for the team to contribute to this vision.    You make sure that all activities and decisions support these goals.
  • You ensure the onboarding of newcomers in the team
  • You identify training needs for the team and put in place the learning plan for the Client Center 
  • Communication is key to foster a team culture. Team meetings, feedback sessions, workshops are key elements within the client center 

Commercial / Banking

  • You closely work together with Private Banking teams to enable a transfer of clients to the right type of service
  • You will act as an ambassador to familiarize customers with digital investment solutions and remote communication channels and play an active role in the related digitalization project
  • You will scrupulously comply with the Bank's external regulations and procedures applicable to the position. You make sure regulatory follow-up is under control and necessary actions are taken
  • You drive the handling of complex cases

Operational Excellence

  • You define best practices, standards and lead by example
  • You make sure priorities are handled and workload is equally spread and divided within the team, you deploy strategies to reduce backlog If any
  • In collaboration with the Client Center Team Coach: 

o    Build, publish and update teams planning accordingly with reactive and proactive activities
o    Make sure the (intra-day) planning is well followed, keep  KPI's  under control and re-assign resources when and where needed
o    Monitor reports and KPI business reviews 

  • You are the central point of contact of the team and create dialogue with other Private Banking teams
  • You perform quality controls on the activities performed by the relationships managers

Your profile

  • Master's or Bachelor degree in Management, Economics or similar experience
  • You are Dutch and/or FR native and have a good level of English (oral and written)
  • You have experience in building/coaching/managing a team
  • You are a dynamic, empathic people manager, well-structured and organized person being able to define priorities and manage a large team 
  • You are communicative, have strong interpersonal skills and can build lasting relationships within a defined framework
  • Good knowledge of financial markets and products 
  • Business and problem-solving mindset
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to continuously improve ways of working
  • You are digital savvy, a good command of Microsoft Dynamics, CRM and PowerBI is a plus
